On Deck Sports Academy is the place to bring your player or team for training in a quality indoor environment.
Our over 5,000 of indoor space features three batting tunnels, soft toss and tee stations and an infield/pitching area which can accommodate up to three pitching mounds. For rates and reservations, please select the appropriate menu tab above.
On Deck features three batting tunnels, each with a different style of pitching machine: the Iron Mike MP6, the ATEC Casey Pro and the three-wheel Hack Attack
For those who want to get as many swings in as possible, Tunnel #1 features the Iron Mike MP6 pitching machine, which is an arm action self-fed hurler. It holds up to 600 real baseballs or 400 softballs for non-stop hitting. The Iron Mike can be configured to throw any speed from 45-90 MPH.
Tunnel #2 features the Hack Attack baseball and softball pitching machines. These machines use three spinning wheel to throw balls and are readily configurable to throw different heights, inside/outside locations, and curve, slider, sinker and fastball pitches at speeds up to 70 MPH. Balls are fed by a coach and are perfect for working with a player on advanced hitting.
Tunnel #3 features the ATEC Casey Pro, a two wheeled machine which can throw multiple types of pitches at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour.
Soft toss and tee stations are also available for working on swing mechanics and are often used by teams to supplement the time that they are using the batting tunnels.
Yes, we have softball machines and stations as well. We have a dedicated Hack Attack pitching machine set up for fast pitch softball in one of our tunnels, and a second machine which we can configure for softball with advance notice.
The Hack Attack pitching machines are ideally suited for softball. Speeds can be changed for each player, and they can be set up to throw drop and rise balls with the simple turn of a dial.
Up to three pitching stations are available for use at distanced of up to 50′. These stations feature portable pitching mounds and numbered pitching targets to use for location pitches.
For older players, we have the ability to configure the facility to accommodate two 54′ or two 60’6″ pitching mounds, the standard distances for players on 80′ and 90′ diamonds.
Our training area is also available to be configured into a small infield practice area, 50′ x 45′. This allows teams to work on infield drills (e.g. ground balls, short-hops, etc) , walk-throughs of infield coverages and responsibilities, and pickoff and 1st and 3rd plays.
